crabby day..!

..CRABBY DAY..

last friday i went to a farewell party of a collague at the office. he's entering his "purna bakti" moment, and my boss had arranged a luncheon at one of a restaurant nearby my office (since the next day my boss will fly to geneve and there still a lot of things to do..so they've decided to have a luncheon just nearby our office).
there were various kind of foods that they ordered and served, but one dish that captured my eyes (and stomach of course..hehe) was a dish filled with crabs..yumm...they served it with oyster sauce and padang sauce, but i really stuck with the padang sauce..
the taste of the sauce..perfect..the crab..totally great..the size of the crab was quite big (it surely had pretty much of a meat inside the "cangkang" (hehe..dunno what's cangkang in english..:p))
i even licked my hands after i ate it..sure thing my boss were right to have the luncheon at this restaurant..

We went there on the last day of the Asian African Forum on Intellectual Property and Traditional Cultural Expressions, Traditional Knowledge, and Genetic Resources, which was held from June 18th to June 20th, 2007 at Hyatt Regency Bandung, in conjunction with WIPO and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Another experience working with other government institution..which left "quite a not good impression" for me..especially our colleague from d ministry of foreign affairs..but hey..i'm a learner..maybe this was some good thing for me not to act like them..:)
anyway..on the first day of the forum, at night we were invited to a dinner function hosted by the Governor of West Java..
wheww...it was my first time ever entered the famous "Gedung Sate"..not all people had the chance to enter this building...i felt lucky having an opportunity.

(only had a chance to take the pic of chandellier-nya ajah..hehe)

on the second day, it's our (DGIP) time to hosted a dinner, and at that time Mr. Candra Darusman have the honor to played one song .. (in case you all forget, he was a famous keyboardist in indonesia long long time ago which "temporary" retired and became one of indonesia's representatives at the WIPO....btw he still has the charisma..!) ..hehe...kapan lagi ya bisa liat dia maen??
unfortunately, again, like my first business trip, i didn't get a chance to strolling around the city.. on the last day, after the visit to Saung Udjo, i went home..using a travel ...for the first time...=p

dear God..hope everything will go flawless..hope I can do everything as they told me to do..I hope i will not disappoint them..and..may all this time of preparation will be worthed..also, i hope i can enjoy this moment of time..:)

Most of my friends couldn't believe I could eat that "thing" on the plate...
ahaha...i myself couldn't believe it either..but it's true..i ate that..baby octopus..an appetizer for our journey experiencing many plates of sushi and sashimi at sushi tei last friday(thank God i'm not the one who paid..hehe..piss ya li..)
you know what..it really not as bad as it looks you know..as a matter of fact, i quite like it..a little bit crunchy..well..i wish it wasn't served cold..maybe the taste will be much better.
hmm...the sushi was great, but i completely forgot to take a pic of them..well...the baby octopus was enough to imagine our journey i believe..right? :)

i'm here to share my new experience..went to the garage sale!
last week, a friend of mine ask me whether i wanna join with her to go to the garage sale at kemang.
so..in order to gain new experience, i agreed to accompany her to the sale..
but..instead of having a good time picking some good second hand things, i sneazed over and over..especially when we're in the bag section..
but i enjoy it though..and next time my friend ask me to go again to the same event..without any doubt i would say yes to the invitation..(haha..a shoppaholic i am actually..--> waiting for your call mama ewoy..!)
(by the way..I bought a DKNY denim blazer..with a very cheap price! and also a pair of adidas shoes for my toddler nephew..)

after the sale, we went to citos to have our lunch..and we decided to eat at Gino's.
mama ewoy ordered beef canolini (is it right? the spelling i mean..), i ordered four season pizza (don't you think it looked a little bit pale?yea..me too..).
and when we ate our food..we saw one of our college friend was also ate there..(what a coincidence ya ke..hehe..btw she's a diplomat wannabe also, just like me..only that she's going to be the real diplomat, and i'm just the "wannabe" thing..)
actually , my job and hers are connected, but up til now destiny hasn't give us a chance to meet in a real meeting..so there are lots of stories to tell at that day..about job..about her business trip (gosh..a little bit of jealousy came in me when she said that she's been sent to korea..man...
i wonder when my time will come ya?), boys (or men instead ya? hehe..by the way, send my regards doong for anom a.k.a. heartbreaker...*wink*), her lost (terribly sorry for your lost dear..), chances, and others that couldn't be bear..
so..after we ate, we (me and lieke) separated with ewoy who wanted to find a bicycle for her hubby...
haha...when we're browsin around the mall, i found a pair of shoes that perfectly match with my new bag..
so..the title of this day was shopppppiiiinnnggg everyone..:) (smile with satisfaction..)
